Here is a short bio to help you get acquainted with Darlene
Rogers, who
will be coaching us this week.

Darlene Rogers is the Director of Texas Harmony Chorus, a
chapter of Sweet
Adelines International and an acclaimed music educator and
vocal coach.
She has been teaching and coaching proper vocal production skills
to choruses and
quartets in the barbershop idiom for more than three decades.
Darlene began her Sweet Adeline career in 1968 in Ponca
City, OK. In 1970,
she became a member of the OK City Chorus, where she later
became assistant director.
In addition, she was director of the Oklahoma
Jubilee Chorus in Tulsa, as well as
a member of the 1975 Region 10 Champion
Lady Luvs Quartet.
Darlene currently resides in Flower Mound, Texas where she
teaches private voice lessons.
This outstanding and dynamic musical leader is
in great demand as a coach and teacher
by many award winning choruses and
quartets in both the Sweet Adeline and
S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. organizations,
including the 1999 Sweet Adeline
International Quartet Champions, Rumors
Not only does she have an outstanding musical pedigree, she
is a very approachable,
down-to-earth sort of person. We are very lucky to have
access to her expertise.

also shared her skills with a special coaching session for our Savvy Septuagenarians.
This special group from our Chorus
had an exclusive session with her
during the day at Faye’s house.
The whole of Chorus benefited from Darlene’s coaching on
Wednesday night
at regular rehearsal but the super 70’s got a bonus session!!
