More Convention Snippets ...

Not all the fun and friendship of a SA convention is at the venue.
We stayed at the same apartments as members of the new WA chorus 'Indian Blue'.
And we traveled to Olympic Park with them on the bus.
Each chorus had a spot to display some of their History
in the Hall of Champions. Here's how ours looked ....

As well as the history section and Harmony Bazaar
this was a great meeting place.

It's time for the 25th Anniversary SA Convention in Sydney

As we were not competing this year, we volunteered to help 'run the show!'
The volunteers were resplendent in their 'Hi Vis' orange bandannas
 - we stood out from the crowd - a great success
There was lots of behind the scenes organizing by a hard working committee
of Terri, Lorraine and Sugi who put their lives on hold to coordinate the
volunteers for the traffic, pattern, buses and the door ushers.
Then the rest of us chipped in and co-ordinated the various required roles.
Barb Scott - manned the RMT Information desk ably assisted by
WHC members and volunteers from other choruses.
Here we are having brekkie in Parramatta before we
checked into our accommodation and the volunteer roles began!
Robyn B looked after the traffic pattern vols while Nerryl and Karen
assisted back stage. I cant mention everyone here but just to say that a big
thanks goes to all our chorus workers!
Everyone chipped in and made the hours of organisation all worth while
as the whole 'show' went off like clockwork.
The event began with a cocktail Harbour cruise and here's a group
of us ready to party.  Click on the collage to get the picture up larger to see ...
ANZ Stadium looks a bit different when not filled with footy fans!
Recognise anyone at the MASS SING?
It was all happening at Harmony Bazaar including our
Chorus History Display and our stall where we sold our
'Voice Part Bracelets'. Popular they were too - did you get one?
We have plenty left.
