It was a great concert....

Bazinga sang well, it's always great to catch up with Jessica.

Here's Aiden, a great young singer (sometimes put at disadvantage by technology)
and his Grandfather in  the audience - over 100 years young!
GOTA and Jan and Tonic impressed the audience with their performances.

And to finish up, Jan thanked our families for their support in so many ways and
then invited Sweet Adelines and former WHC members  in the
audience to join us on the risers to sing 'How we sang Today'.
It was good to see former members Betty Thomas, Joy, Trish, Yvonne, Claire
and Moira to mention a few here in the photographs.
Indeed a great concert, now to polish our performance for Perth!

Firstly in the Green.....

This shot is a panorama of the whole of the chorus, it's 'stitched
in the middle somewhere - can you see?
It's a bit hard to get everyone in from the
front row - good job tho' Maureen - thanks!

We can see Jan's smile even if she is out of focus ...

Cute faces, some in some out of focus - like the expressions with our 'friends'.
Lorraine and Deb look particularly tender.

'Tell me again and again!'

Smiling Faces ....

I do apologise if you missed out - next time you see me
with a camera ask - TAKE ME , TAKE ME!

New costume accessories - looking good.

Now it's time to perform for our family and friends...

The 'Unveiling'!

Since December 2012 we have been negotiating with a firm in China
to produce for us ( at a reasonable price) the dynamic
jewellery modelled here by Louise and Karen.
There have been a momentous number of emails flying to
and fro between Wollongong and China with this pleasing outcome.
We think they will look spectacular on the competition stage.

One day soon I will put together a precis of the emails as they
make interesting reading - in Chinglish of course.
Thank you for the vote of thanks in the form of a 'Bass' sized
bottle of Chardonney.
I'm sure it will be appreciated by myself and some of our number
when an occasion comes to open it!

Membership Matters .... Welcome to Ali Montgomery

Ali has been coming along and sitting patiently as our 'audience' as
we refine our competition songs.
But she has been working too and recently passed her audition pieces
so on Wednesday night she was welcomed to the
 membership of Wollongong Harmony Chorus.

So welcome Ali and congratulations on chosing to join our great group!

Bethany shows us how it's done!

We are all so looking forward to wearing our eyelashes!
And Bethany, Jan and Gary's glamorous daughter makes it all look SO easy.

It helps too if you have a face like her's too without the superfluous
folds that some of us may have!

Some of the equipment required....

Video instructions to follow so we can all practice being GLAM!
And here they are................

But wait, there's MORE!

On Monday afternoons, members get together at
Sandra's place at Dapto for a sing.
Hence the DAPTONES!
Swollen in numbers today as contest approaches and as we squeeze in
a few more sessions with Virg before she heads home to NZ.

A few weary faces today after a big weekend but still we soak up the information as we
strive to do our best in Perth and hopefully achieve those elusive 600 points.

As Jan says we just need to polish those smudged fingerprints from
the gloss of the wooden table top!
See you in Perth Virg!

Sunday is another day!

After our usual warm ups, both physical and vocal we did some self assesment exercises.
One by one a row came down from the risers to LISTEN and EVALUATE the sight and sound
of their riser buddies.

It was a great learning exercise and we all learnt from it.

We found that each individual is an important and valued member
of the chorus unit. Many members felt isolated and less supported
when singing without the 'missing row'.

The photographer from the 'Advertiser' came along  to get some action shots.
Let's hope we get some good publicity and it is an enticement for other Illawarra
ladies to join the ranks of this motivated group of women!

We had our own 'roving reporter' as Virg took on the photographers role.

Look at these switched on faces.

Everyone is 'in the moment'......

'Kiss me again and AGAIN!'

'Love THOSE EYES' .....

It was only a fleeting visit - was she really here?
Too right - it was'nt our imagination.

A great big thanks for all your hard work and encouragment
to the DYNAMIC DUO.
